Background
Bill is the founder of JOHNSTON CONSULTING, an organization that provides strategic Human Resource services to a client base in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. His experience comes from a broad range of senior consulting roles and corporate positions, including: Partner, Human Resource Practice (KPMG Consulting), Vice President, Human Resources & Public Affairs (Speedy Muffler King—One of Canada's 100 Best Companies to Work For), Director, Human Resources and Public Affairs (Uniroyal Canada), Labour Relations Manager (Ford Motor Company, Windsor), and Employment and Development Manager (Ford of Canada).

His memberships include The Strategic Leadership Forum, The Society for Human Resources Management, The Institute for International Human Resources and the Toronto Board of Trade.

Personal
As a volunteer, Bill is the Past Chair of the Hospice Association of Ontario, a not-for-profit organization with 100 member organizations and 12,500 volunteers serving 400 communities in Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Psychology degree from Oakland University in Rochester Michigan and did graduate work in the Master of Industrial Relations program at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan.
