Presented by Canadian Management Centre with Hugh MacDonald, HR Executive and Trusted Advisor

Relationship management is not about taking a client to a ball game or having lunch at a trendy restaurant. It is about establishing joint goals and, when necessary, being able to have tough and respectful conversations. Creating sustainable, productive relationships depend on your ability to go beyond your own interests and consider the needs of others; but also, being able to get what you need to reach your own goals.

For the HR and Training professional, in particular, the challenge is to balance being both a trusted advisor and a credible partner. You must be a strategic thinker with expertise, acumen and and understanding of the 'business'. However, strategic thinking skills have to be supported by a solid base of tactical know-how.

Join Hugh MacDonald for this complementary Breakfast Briefing to discover a tool-kit of practical principles, ideas and techniques which you can immediately use on the job to develop and improve your relationships with your internal clients, business partners and any external suppliers, vendors, joint venture and outsourcing partners.

What you'll learn:

  • The Foundations of Workplace Relationship Management
  • Relationship Culture and Life-Cycle Model
  • Relationship Distances and Stances
  • Influencing Skills and Tools
  • Linking Relationship Management and Governance

REGISTER NOW. The first 40 individuals who register will receive a complimentary copy of Hugh’s book, The Arts of Influence: Soft Power and Distant Relationships, at the event.

Register for this complimentary session by Tuesday November 4, 2008 and you could win a half-hour one-on-one session with Hugh after his presentation.
