We are so proud of our 2011 CMC Team who participated in the 20th Annual Run/Walk for the Cure on Sunday October 2, 2011. We braved cold, windy and wet weather to join in and had teams participating in both Toronto and Montreal.
Congratulations to our team not only for their efforts on the big day, but also in raising a grand total of $6,303 to support Breast Cancer Research. A big shout out and thanks to all those who supported us in exceeding our fundraising goal. We can’t wait until next year!
The Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led event that started in 1992 by Andrea Thomas Hill. In its first year, this event drew in 1,500 participants and raised $85,000 for breast cancer research. Since then, more than 1,000,000 participants have participated in the Run for the Cure raising millions of dollars in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of a future free of breast cancer. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is a leader in funding research, education and awareness programs and improving the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer. This volunteer-based organization works collaboratively to fund and support relevant and innovative research, meaningful education and awareness programs, early diagnosis and effective treatment, and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.
" The course information was very well organized. It was nice to have a variety of participants with a range of different issues. "
" I felt confident before the course and now I feel even much better while knowing the recipe and the rationale of the win-win negotiation parties. "
" I was able to develop an action plan to deal with two coaching situations specific to my needs. This will help me put the training to use as soon as I get back into the office. "
" The course really made one think, especially concerning what type of person you are and also the type of person your supervisor is. "
