Canadian Management Centre receives Gold again at CSTD
Canadian Management Centre is once again the proud recipient of the Gold Canadian Award for Training Excellence (CATE). The 2009 award was announced during the Canadian Society for Training and Development's annual conference for a program designed in collaboration with a major Canadian multinational organization. Our design, a global leadership development curriculum was awarded top honours in the Internal Learning Category.
The Canadian Awards for Training Excellence (CATE) has honoured innovative learning products and programs since 1995. Entries are judged on originality, instructional design, evaluation strategy, packaging, communication style and overall value. The External Learning Category recognizes instructor-led programs designed for sale on the open market. The Internal Learning Category recognizes instructor-led programs designed for exclusive use within a company.
Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD) is a not-for-profit membership association dedicated to the profession of training, workplace learning and human resources development.
2007 Gold Award
Canadian Management Centre is the proud 2007 recipient of the Gold Canadian Award for Training Excellence, awarded by the Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD). Our winning entry, Make It Happen: Leadership Fundamentals Series is a program designed and developed in partnership with our client, LoyaltyOne™ (formerly Loyalty Management Group Canada Inc.). It ranked high in all categories of the judging criteria and was awarded based on the following:

Originality. The modular curriculum offered unique elements to keep participants engaged throughout the series.

Instructional Design. The curriculum was designed to meet the needs of the target audience while respecting adult learning principles.

Evaluation Strategy. Kirkpatrick's method of evaluation was built into the program to evaluate satisfaction, retention and behaviour change.

Packaging. The materials were branded to suit the needs of the organization and offered visual appeal.
- Communication Style. The program used straightforward business communication, relevant to the target audience.
