This week, Canadian Management Centre is pleased to present the American Management Association’s marketing podcast “How to Market Yourself” with special guest C.J. Hayden. C.J. Hayden is a Master Certified Coach and principal of Wings Business Coaching, LLC, a firm that teaches self-employed professionals to make more money with less effort.
C.J. Hayden will review during this podcast the marketing challenges that entrepreneurs and small business owners face. The first being that most small business entrepreneurs seem to be afraid to limit themselves to any one market niche and try to cast a wide marketing net.
C.J. will give examples of why this is inefficient and why it is essential for the small business owner to pick “one” marketing niche and speak to them directly.
Throughout this presentation C.J. will discuss the ideal method(s) of creating a strategic marketing plan and why having an organized system will result in producing a motivated and results driven sales team and business plan.

This week, Canadian Management Centre is pleased to present the American Management Association’s marketing podcast “Nuances of Generational Marketing” with special guest Ken Gronbach. Ken Gronbach is a nationally recognized consultant and researcher on Demography and Generational Marketing and the author of the bestselling book Common Census: The Counterintuitive Guide to Intergenerational Marketing.
During this podcast Ken Gronbach will discuss the real challenges that business’ and industries face because of the radical population shifts from one generation segment to another. Ken will explain that generational marketing is simply knowing, how to sell to the generation segments.
These segments currently being:
1. GI Generation – people who age 80+
2. Silent Generation – people between the ages of 60 - 80
3. Baby Boomers – people between the ages of 40 - 60
4. Generation X – people between the ages of 20 – 40
5. Generation Y – people under the age of 20
Ken will explain that understanding the size, personality and behavior of each segment is generational marketing and will give real life examples of how to reach each segment and effectively speak and ultimately sell to each.
